Abstract
Purpose
Organisations encourage green creativity among their employees to mitigate pollution and achieve sustainable growth. Green inclusive leadership practices have a key role in influencing employees’ green attitudes and environmental efficiency. Thus, the purpose of this study is to investigate how green inclusive leadership influences employees’ green creativity. It also aims to analyse the intermediating mechanism of green human capital and employee voice between the relationship of green inclusive leadership and green creativity.
Design/methodology/approach
Data was collected through an in-person administered questionnaire-based survey from 312 employees of the manufacturing industry of Pakistan. SPSS PROCESS macro was used for hypothesis testing in the present study.
Findings
The findings depict that the perception of green inclusive leadership positively influences employees’ green creativity. Moreover, the findings demonstrate that green human capital and employee voice play substantial intervening roles among the associations investigated.
Originality/value
This research study is novel because it is one of the scarce research studies to examine green inclusive leadership and employees’ green creativity with the underlying mechanism of green human capital and employee voice in an eastern context.

Abstract
Purpose
Recent literature in environmental management suggests that fostering employees’ innovative behaviour in green service is vital for enhancing the environmental sustainability of hospitality organizations. Despite this, few efforts have been made to understand how green entrepreneurial leadership (GEL) relates to green service innovative behaviour (GSIB). This study aims to examine whether GEL can promote GSIB among hospitality employees through the serial mediation of green learning orientation (GLO) and green knowledge acquisition (GKA) using the conservation of resources theory. The authors expect environmental dynamism to strengthen the relationship between GEL and employees’ GSIB, leveraging the resource-based view theory.
Design/methodology/approach
This study collected data through a multi-wave survey (four waves, two weeks apart) from 341 employees working in three-to-five-star hotels in Pakistan’s major cities. The authors used partial least squares structural equation modelling to evaluate the hypotheses proposed in the theoretical model.
Findings
The study revealed a significant relationship between GEL and employee GSIB, mediated by GLO and GKA. In addition, environmental dynamism strengthened the relationship of GEL with employee GSIB.
Originality/value
The research advances the literature on GEL in the hospitality sector by providing insights into the mediating and moderating processes that translate GEL into GSIB among hospitality employees. Moreover, the research provides important implications for hotels investing in green initiatives and looking for ways to foster employees’ GSIB.

Abstract
Purpose
This study aimed to assess emotional intelligence (EI) among young adults across three Arab countries: Egypt, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.
Design/methodology/approach
A total of 1884 university students participated from the three countries and completed the Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence Test (SSEIT). Data were validated by confirmatory factor analysis using SPSS AMOS version 29. Path analysis, t-tests and analyses of variance were performed to understand the influence of background variables on the EI of the study participants.
Findings
The results provide theoretical support for the SSEIT and the hypothesized relationship between managing personal and others' emotions. Although significant differences were found between participants in terms of gender and grade point average (GPA), no difference was found between participants based on nationality. The results of this study indicate the need to prioritize EI in young adults and other implications.
Originality/value
The importance of EI in individuals' daily lives cannot be overemphasized. However, scholarly insights into the state of EI in the Arab context are scarce.

The paper seeks to document attitudes and patterns of behavior in Pakistan's criminal justice system over the past 30 years.
Design/methodology/approach
A conceptual discussion and approach are taken following extensive interviews, conducted in 1992‐1993, with members of the police, judges, civil service bureaucrats, torture victims, psychiatrists, political detainees, criminal lawyers and others.
Findings
The patterns of behavior are longstanding and deeply rooted despite periodical changes in political leadership. Cynicism about law enforcement is widespread throughout the country and much crime goes unreported as a result. There is a lack of faith and support for police officials and legal safeguards for criminal suspects are often ignored.
Originality/value
The conditions in Pakistan's criminal justice system are explained theoretically with reference to the concept of hegemony in Pakistan's prevailing political culture.
