Business intelligence solutions provider SAS has unveiled the latest version of its business intelligence suite. Version 9.1 aims to extend analytics capabilities across the whole enterprise and offers improved tailoring to the needs of distinct types of users everywhere, from the shop floor to the executive suite. The latest offering has expanded on SAS' business intelligence server to include SAS Web report studio and SAS report studio. These are Web-based, desktop tools that offer Wizard-driven report creation with step-by-step instructions and self-service interfaces.
The release also incorporates SAS office integration, enabling the use of SAS analytics within Microsoft Office products, such as Word and Excel.
With the latest release, SAS claims to haveadded reporting tools to its already best-in-class data mining and data warehousing tools. Aiming to reduce maintenance costs, SAS' offering features targeted user interfaces that are designed and tailored to the varying skill level and usage patterns of information consumers, domain experts, executives and technologists.
