Canon has announced the sale of its ten millionth personal copier worldwide. This is being recognised with a special 10 million logo, appearing on all new personal copiers, packaging and promotional material. Canon now claims to dominate the small office/home office (SoHo) market, with more than a 55per cent share. Canon attributes its success to two core technologies – zero warm-up time and the "all-in-one" cartridge system, which combines the three most essential elements of any copier – toner, drum, and cleaner unit – into one container. Simple, and successful.
