Co-operative action

Felleskjopet Rogaland Agder (FKRA), a Norwegian agricultural purchasing and marketing co-operative, is aiming to automate many procedures, such as invoicing, that are done manually today. FKRA also aims to get better access to information and improve decision-making processes. It is doing this by implementing IFS Applications 2003 components for business performance, portals, and demand planning. The total value of the contract is approximately US$1m. FKRA has been an IFS customer since 1999 and is an experienced user of the logistics and inventory management functionality in IFS Applications. FKRA consists of four regional co-operatives which are independent legal and economic entities that together cover all of Norway. With aggregated annual revenue over $1 billion, they have 57,000 members. The co-operatives are the main suppliers of fuel to the Norwegian agricultural industry. Their primary goal is to strengthen their members' financial position in the short and long terms by purchasing, refining, selling and distributing fuel, consumables, and services to the agricultural industry.
