There are (too) many business books around. It becomes difficult to know which to read. Certainly many of them are rewarding – though some often chime better with an individual reader or his/her current situation. This book offers one option – to get a flavour of the thinking of a number of management gurus before, perhaps, reading one in more detail. It uses a simple and concise question and answer style to provide a snapshot of the current thought-leadership scene – the output from 40 of the brightest and best business minds offering advice on what to do and how to do it.

The book offers useful thinking frameworks and tools from both old and new thought-leaders, from Peter Drucker and Tom Peters to Jonas Ridderstrale and Don Tapscott.

Each chapter is devoted to the views and insights of one of these thinkers. As such, this book becomes very easy to drop into – yet get a coherent experience. Though it is at times a little like the "condensed books" on offer to those with too little time to read proper books, it does its job of offering a summary of a variety of approaches. If the reader finds one or more individual(s) of particular note, he/she may be tempted to read further.
