The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has licensed the suite of on-Q authoring products from Ensequence, Inc. as a development solution for its interactive programming. The on-Q Authoring Suite, which consists of on-Q Studio and on-Q Simulator, allows creative professionals to create high-quality interactiveTV applications in a fraction of the time normally taken. On-Q Studio generates applications that are independent of the set-top box or underlying middleware on which they will execute. On-Q Studio, on-Q Simulator and on-Q Client form the basis of "author once, distribute everywhere" which is the Ensequence promise. By allowing video professionals to prototype, design and test creative possibilities, the on-Q Authoring Suite frees the application authoring process from archaic software programming practices, schedules, costs, and delays.
