Invitation

I received an invitation the other day. Good quality parchment, official looking envelope. When I opened it, it was another piece of junk mail – I can not exactly remember but I think it was an invitation to take out a(nother) credit card. The packaging got through my first line of defence – nothing about the envelope or the first level contents made me suspicious. However, when I eventually found out what it was – after reading about seven words, I was particularly annoyed. It seems to be fraudulent to dress up some piece of trivial communication purporting to be something it is not. I wasted 17 seconds of my life opening and scanning it. Now, at my hourly rate, that comes to …. If I sent the company a bill, do you think they would pay? No, me neither!
