Aqumen has formed a joint venture company with the leading Dutch project management specialist Arcadis, to provide a platform for the delivery of facilities management services in continental Europe. Arcadis Aqumen FM will be the first company in The Netherlands to be delivering a total facilities management solution, as well as managing agent and consultancy services. Arcadis has a blue chip client list based on its project and process management activities, particularly in civil engineering, construction and maintenance. As Arcadis' MD Jan Zijlstra explained, the formation of the joint venture provides Arcadis with the skills and experience it needs to develop FM in The Netherlands much quicker than building these skills in house. The organisation will have 40 employees initially and a turnover of £20 million.
