CEREBRUS has launched a revenue assurance system to help telecoms operators to recapture lost revenues arising from revenue leakage – which can be typically ten percent. The systems directly measure network usage by continuously monitoring CDRs between the main points of revenue leakage at the network, switch, mediation, rating and billing stages. By comparing CDRs at selected leakage points – for example SS7-derived network usage data with billing records from the switch – it flags up discrepancies and reports on their sources and’value.
