Following the recent launch of DiscoveryInsight, BioWisdom are running a pilot project with GlaxoSmithKline, Stevenage, UK. The pilot project is applying the BioWisdom technology in one of GlaxoSmithKline's key therapeutic areas. The aim of the pilot is to evaluate BioWisdom's technology in providing an enhanced searching and retrieval system for two of GlaxoSmithKline's in-house databases, used by drug discovery scientists. Through the collaboration, BioWisdom will make available their proprietary biomedical thesauri, which will be used to index, categorise and bring up-to-date biomedical terms in the databases. This technology will facilitate more comprehensive and ordered retrieval of information, thus allowing moredetailed linguistic analysis of the information and creation of the opportunity to identify novel insights for drug discovery.
