Note from the publisher

Emerald and Work Study

You will no doubt have noticed that for 2002 the publisher of Work Study has changed its trading name from MCB UP Ltd to Emerald and carries a new cover design. This is to reflect the success of our Emerald Fulltext database – our electronic database which, along with much other material, contains current and archival content of this journal.

The continued success of the Emerald database is well-known. Electronic usage of the material contained in our journals has doubled every year since 1996 and the trend continues. In October 2001 alone Emerald Fulltext was accessed over 1.3 million times and a total of 790 libraries worldwide currently receive the Emerald database. Here are some interesting statistics representing the recent performance of Work Study:

  • Over 5,000 article downloads in November 2001.

  • Accessed electronically in over 100 countries worldwide.

  • The most commonly accessed WS paper in 2001 is "Using e-commerce to deliver high productivity" by Michael Fisher of Bradford (Vol. 49 No. 2, 2000). We look forward to your next submission!

If you are thinking of submitting an article for an Emerald journal in 2002 please be assured that you will have the full reach of the Emerald Fulltext database on your side to ensure that your work reaches the widest, global audience.

And do not forget that, if you do not currently have access to Emerald Fulltext, you can obtain a free 30-day trial to the entire database. For further details, please visit www.emeraldinsight.com
