With more than 1,000 participants, this year's IIE Annual Conference in Dallas, surpassed the attendance at the 2000 event by over 20 per cent. What was interesting from feedback was the nature of the topics in which delegates were most interested. Top subjects that attendees wanted to learn more about were: Lean Manufacturing; Supply Chain Integration; Ergonomics; E-business/ E-commerce; Logistics; Simulation. Apart from the dreaded "e"-terms, the rest could have been in the list (under a different heading, perhaps) ten, or even 20 years ago.
