Just to show that I can give praise where its due ... another part of my computing setup is an ancient (in technology terms) HP Deskjet 500 inkjet printer. It has worked regularly and reliably for many years (about ten I think) with only the occasional change of ink cartridge. It has never faltered, missed a beat, or printed less than quality text. I dare not change it for a more modern one – the new one probably would not work; and if it were a colour one, I probably could not afford the consumable costs. So I will stay with my old faithful ... Some things are just too good to discard.
