I have a friend with a young child (five years old). He was telling him proudly that his daughter can reboot the PC whenever it crashes. Quite rightly he can be proud but what an indictment of the PC industry that his daughter has learnt this (admittedly relatively simple) skill from repeated usage. There cannot be many other areas where we accept this level of unreliability – and continually pay to upgrade our equipment to another untested version before the current one works properly!
