The concept of "coaching" within business has been around for a few years. Modern managers are not supposed to tell people what to do - they have to encourage, offer advice and feedback, and lead their staff to achieve the goals established. This video is a training video using a set of case studies to introduce the concepts and skills involved in coaching. One example is a receptionist being off-hand with a customer. This could be handled in a number of ways. Coaching offers a non-confrontational, confidence-building approach which forms the basis of a win-win solution.
The video is designed for self-study or for use in training situations. On-screen questions follow each case study and test how the viewer would deal with typical management problems.
Though the video is a stand-alone product (at £120) there is an optional support booklet (at £25) which offers advice on using the video in the training room.
