Engineering Animation, Inc., announced today that Alenia Aerospazio Aeronautics Division, the Italian leader in the design and manufacturing of military and civil aircraft, based in Turin and Naples, Italy, has selected EAI's Open Enterprise Visualisation solutions for product visualisation and digital mockup. EAI's solutions will be used throughout the division's facilities to support aircraft development, including the Eurofighter project, the European fighter aircraft being developed by Alenia Aerospazio, in co-operation with Daimler-Chrysler Aerospace (Germany), CASA (Spain) and British Aerospace (UK). EAI's solutions will allow multi-disciplinary teams within Alenia that include members from design, engineering, manufacturing, quality, procurement and customer support, to develop new aircraft design.
