Dash for knowledge

Dash for knowledge

Rapidly growing 80-20 Software has announced the launch of their Personal Knowledge Portal (PKP) for Microsoft Outlook. PKP takes control and manages the knowledge base stored in an individual's e-mail system, by automatically organising and categorising information seamlessly, integrating work systems, and delivering information in the office or remotely. PKP solves the information overload problem for where the pain is for users today - their e-mail! PKP provides a means of structuring daily e-mail so that workers can quickly turn information into knowledge. PK is a digital dashboard nugget that allows users to index their Outlook folders including their mail and personal folders. Once Outlook has been indexed, users can perform high-speed searches across all indexed folders. Those searches can be saved, and appear to the user as folders within their Digital Dashboard or Outlook Today page. The dynamic nature of the folders means that as indexes are updated so too are folder contents without any relocation of actual messages. Users can also see all e-mail to and from any contact with a single mouse click by clicking on their contacts folder. For more information, visit the Web site at: http://www.80-20.com
