A new business model

Oracle Corp. has announced Oracle Business Models (OBM), a turnkey and custom solution for implementing Oracle Applications. OBM contains tools and methods that model world-class business practices and processes, allowing implementers to determine the best and most efficient implementation process for each customer. The use of models accelerates the implementation cycle and allows implementers to better predict the implementation timeline, allowing customers to realise return on their applications investments more quickly than with traditional methods. OBM is an integrated suite comprised of Solution Sets, Process Models, Modelling and Implementation Standards, Application Software, Tools, Methods, Consulting, Training, Documentation and Support. Models are pre-configured to automate 11 of the most common business processes: Financial management; Human resource management; Information technology management; Market management; Materials management; Operations; Order fulfilment; Planning and forecasting; Post sales customer service; Procurement; and Product development. Oracle Business Models also include process models available in Visio and Oracle Designer for the thirteen generic business processes.
