Clean up your act

Reductions of 23 per cent in overall building services energy consumption and a massive 60 per cent saving in energy used in mechanical ventilation are the key claims made for Daikin heat reclaim ventilation. Fresh air plays an important role in the maintenance of a healthy and productive work environment and many firms have seen the benefits of installing effective ventilation and air conditioning systems. However, providing fresh air can be very costly. Daikin HRV reduces costs from a typical £1.60/litre per person to something more like 60p. By modulating the humidity and temperature of incoming fresh air to match indoor conditions, the system minimises energy losses and allows the conditioning system, where there is one, to divert less cooling or heating to temper the fresh air Daikin claim payback can be in as little as 2 years.
