Too loud
I recently traveled on a train on which one of the people sitting nearby spoke (or rather shouted) extremely loudly. It was very difficult to concentrate and get some work done though I have to admit that, at times, it was quite entertaining. I just got to wondering when technology will come to our aid and offer us volume controls. It would be most useful to be able to adjust one's hearing level in situations like this. What we need is the opposite of a hearing aid perhaps a miniature white-noise generator. Any enterprising manufacturer can license this idea from me!!
