New range of static-safe desoldering guns from TBA ECP

Keywords: Soldering

Static control specialist, TBA Electro Conductive Products (ECP) has launched a new range of professional quality desoldering guns (DSGs) including models designed for solder removal operations in static sensitive environments (Plate 5).

Plate 5 TBA ECP has launched a new range of DSGs

The new ECP 1850 series desoldering guns feature five models that meet the requirements of ES IEC 61340 Pt.1-1998 for use in static sensitive environments and a further six versions for use in the standard manufacturing operations.

Featuring high temperature PTFE nozzles, static-safe models include the aluminium bodied ECP 1850/5 miniature anti-static DSG and ECP 1850/4 standard anti-static version. Two plastic bodied anti-static guns are also available, the ECP 1850/7 and 1850/9. The static-safe range is completed with the ECP 1850/11 featuring aluminium body and flexible silicone rubber nozzle. All anti-static versions have carbon impregnated tips to provide a conduction path from the desoldering point to the operator.

All TBA ECP desoldering guns have extraction springs located outside the vacuum chamber to prevent solder sticking, maintaining a consistent plunger action and promoting long operational life.
