SMTA expands corporate advisory council

The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) is pleased to announce that Alan Rae, Vice President of technology for Cookson Electronics, has joined the association's Corporate Advisory Council. Alan holds a BSc with Honors in Chemistry from the University of Aberdeen, and a PhD in Metallurgy and Engineering Materials, as well as an MBA, from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He has been awarded the Savile Shaw Medal by the Society of Chemical Engineering and has been active in NEMI, as well as the IPC. Alan is also Chair of the Optoelectronics TIG and an active participant in the Roadmap.
