Quad Systems Corporation announced the appointment of Ted Shoneck (Plate 2) to chief executive officer. Shoneck will continue to serve as president of Quad, a position he has held since 1998. As president, Shoneck has spearheaded Quad's turnaround strategy and has focused new product development on new markets, including medium speed chipshooter assemblers in SMT, and selected APT products for flip chip and hybrid circuit applications.

Shoneck joined Quad in 1997 as chief operating officer in charge of North American operations, bringing over 17 years experience in the electronics, medical and chemical industries. Prior to joining Quad, he served as chief operating officer for Cutting Edge Technologies, West Chester. He has also held executive positions with KMI Surgical Products, West Chester. Prior to that, Shoneck served in operations roles at Alcon Laboratories, and Sharpoint, Inc., both of Reading, PA, and Borg-Warner Corp., Parkersburg, W. VA.

Shoneck graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Hartford, Hartford, CT. He earned his master's degree in business administration from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
