JOT Automation introduces mobile phone test handlers for both PCB and final testing

JOT Automation Ltd has introduced a flexible test handling platfom for both off-line and in-line testing of PCBs and end products.

The J411-02 and J411-03 handlers for PCB testing and RF/user interface testing, respectively, were designed primarily for mobile phone manufacturers and mobile phone production testing.

The aim was to provide a solution that could bring speed, accuracy and cost-effectiveness to mobile phone manufacturers' testing phases. The flexibility of the solution was deemed crucial, since the manufacturers typically have several different products, which need to be tested using the same platform solution. Both JOT test handlers are easily configured for various test systems. Handshaking with the controlling system is provided through the standard RS-232 protocol.

To fully enjoy the benefits of automation, the test systems can be integrated into JOT J404-03 and J404-04 robotic test handlers. This way the loading of PCBs and final products into the test handlers can also be automated. The more processes that are automated, the more speed, accuracy, cost savings and production ramp-up can be expected.

Although targeted at the telecom industry, the J411 series test handlers can be used for other purposes as well: JOT's experience in RF technology, user interface testing and automotive electronics industry are an extra advantage in this respect. The handlers can be equipped with optional UI actuators and machine vision systems for testing complex user interfaces with large graphical displays.
