PMJ automec Corporation has signed an agreement to purchase the entire shares outstanding in Salon Hannu Seppälä Oy, a manufacturer of automatic testing equipment. The acquisition rounds out PMJ's total concept and is a continuation of PMJ's strategic decision to seek growth through acquisitions.
Salon Hannu Seppälä Oy operates in the Meriniitty Industrial Park in Salo, Finland. The company supplies automatic testing equipment and fixtures to the electronics industry in Finland and abroad. Last year Hannu Seppälä Oy had a turnover of FIM 7.5 million. In the current year, turnover is estimated to rise to FIM 18 million.
In 1998 Salon Hannu Seppälä Oy had a payroll of seven employees. Now there are already 16 employees, all of whom will continue in the new owner's employ. The number of personnel is expected to grow further. Hannu Seppälä will stay on as the company's managing director.
Hannu Seppälä was convinced of the need to sell his company to ensure its growth in global markets and to provide better service to customers abroad. PMJ is able to offer the resources needed to accomplish this.
