The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) is proud to announce the creation of SMTA International, a conference and exhibition sponsored exclusively by the Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA). This event will take place September 12-16, 1999, at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, California.
The successor to Surface Mount International (SMI), SMTA International builds on the SMTA's technical conference expertise and success to create the premier exhibition and conference for electronic product manufacturers worldwide.
Exhibitors and attendees involved in all areas of assembling electronic products that require HDI, flip chip, chip scale, BGA and other advanced technologies will reap the many benefits of SMTA International's comprehensive technical conference and market-driven exhibition (where the exhibit floor will play a central role in show activities).
Former SMI partners the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) and Miller Freeman, Inc., have voiced support for this 1999 SMTA endeavor and anticipate active participation in the event. SMTA executive administrator JoAnn Stromberg is pleased with this solidarity, stating that SMTA International "will be a great event thanks to the support of our former partners".
