Article Type: Newsbriefs From: Structural Survey, Volume 28, Issue 3

Keywords: Recession, Professional services, Fees

New fees surveys published by The Fees Bureau show how different professions have been affected by the economic down turn. These industry benchmark surveys, conducted annually amongst Architects, Quantity Surveyors and Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers, show Quantity Surveyors have suffered the most, with the largest falls in their hourly rates. Architects’ average hourly rates are lower in six out of eight staffing categories, while those of Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers are broadly unchanged for most staff categories.
