The RICS Economic Brief for March 2004 reported that economic activity for the fourth quarter of 2003 showed an annual rise of 2.8 per cent, the highest in three years. However, the lagging manufacturing sector casts doubt on immediate interest rate rise. Financial returns for investment in commercial property were 10.9 per cent in 2003.
