Those used to dealing with the NRPB over radon issues will be interested to learn that it is to become part of the new National Infection Control and Health Protection Agency. More information can be found at http://www.doh.gov.uk/cmo/idstrategy/index.htm The NRPB has just published the first results from the North West local authorities group. These indicate that an average of 14 percent of dwellings tested for radon for the first time were at or above the action level.
