Steel frame corrosion explained

The Corrosion Prevention Association (CPA) has issued a new four-page document entitled "Cathodic protection of early steel-framed buildings".

Known in London as "Regent Street Disease" and in Manchester as "Deansgate Disorder", steel frame corrosion problems with buildings constructed during the early part of the twentieth century are expected to increase further as the frames age.
