Consultants' fees for construction projects
Average fees paid to consultants on construction projects is 9.2 per cent of the construction cost according to a report published by the Building Cost Information Service. The Review of Consultants' Fees on Construction Projects examines the level of total fees paid on a sample of over 1,500 projects completed between 1998 and 2000. The results are analysed by the project variables of sector, procurement route, contractor selection, client, building function, value and location.
