Technical Indexes and British Standards Publishing Sales Limited have acquired Building Online Information Service. Technical Indexes has also launched www.info4localgov.com, an online information product for use by local authority architects, building control officers, environmental health officers, engineering and technical services staff. RIBA Information Services have also launched a new product selector plus Web site. The site contains details of 8,000 manufacturers, 20,000 trade names and over 30,000 products. In addition the site contains details of 1,100 trade associations and agrement certificates together with all RIBA approved CPD material. The BRE has launched what it says is the UK's most comprehensive dedicated online bookshop for the construction industry (accessible via www.bre.co.uk).
