Today, 19 May (the day on which I am penning these notes), publication of The English Heritage Register of Buildings at Risk is announced. This is a working document which will contain the name and a photograph of every Grade I and Grade II* building in England. This will be continuously updated on a computer database as they are repaired and cease to be at risk they will be removed from the register. The list contains about 1,500 buildings. Details from Beth McHattie, English Heritage Public Affairs. Tel: 0171 973 3254.
