Blade rotation sensor
Blade rotation sensor
UK-based sensor manufacturer, Gill Sensors, has developed a new non- contact 3608 rotary position sensor suitable for harsh environments – launched at MTEC Sensors, Measurement & Instrumentation show on 14-15 February 2007.

Small, light and robust, the Blade Rotary sensor (Figure 1) is fully electronic with on- board processing providing considerable configuration flexibility. It also has diagnostic information for assisting in system failsafe functionality. An attractive alternative to potentiometers and RVDTs, this sensor is ideal for a variety of automotive, industrial vehicle, marine and control applications where grime, moisture, temperature and vibration can have an adverse affect on other types of sensor.
