Bearing sensor wire sealing glands

Bearing sensor wire sealing glandsKeywords: Electrical, Bearings, Sensors

Conax Buffalo Technologies announces a new range of feedthrough glands using "soft"-sealant technology to seal on the wires of miniature bearing temperature sensors (Plate 12).

Conax bearing sensor wire sealing assemblies are low temperature, low pressure, sealing glands for embedded bearing temperature sensors to prevent oil migrating along the sensor leads. They seal on the individual insulated leads exiting an oil-filled bearing housing. Between two and 14 wires in a number of wire sizes can be accommodated. Sealing assembly bodies are stainless steel.

Typical applications include motors, turbines, pumps and other machines with journal bearing pedestals. Miniature bearing sensors are used in embedded applications where temperature monitoring of bearings is critical to machine performance and reliability.
