Keyword: Energy

The Institute of Energy Conversion at the University of Delaware is a multi-disciplinary laboratory devoted to research and development of thin-film photovoltaic cells. The Institute was founded in 1972 and was designated a University Centre of Excellence for Photovoltaic Research and Education in 1992, an award presented by the US Department of Energy. Their research program is complemented by an educational mission that enables both undergraduate and graduate students to obtain degrees, while working with professionals engaged in solar cell research. The Institute of Energy Conversion is the only University Centre of Excellence supported by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.

Keyword: Energy

Energy Systems Technology (EST) was introduced as an individual subject at Chalmers University of Technology, Göteborg, Sweden, in 1981. EST is defined as the study of the technical aspects of energy systems, taking into consideration all relevant factors involved in energy supply, distribution and demand. Fieldwork has been extended to include waste management systems, and the technical and economic optimisation of complete systems plays an important role in the syllabus.

This is a very informative site and is well worth a visit.

Keyword: Energy

This site contains information about BBA – Bioenergetics, one of the ten topical sections of Biochimica et Biophysica Acta, an International Journal of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology published by Elsevier Science. Bioenergetics covers the area of biological energy transfer and conversion, focusing on the kinetics and thermodynamics of molecular mechanisms involved in photosynthesis, mitochondrial and bacterial respiration, oxidative phosphorylation, motility and transport, mitochondrial pathophysiology as well as the underlying molecular structures. The types of papers published include regular papers, reviews, rapid reports and short sequence papers. Abstracts and full text documents can be downloaded from the site for all issues since 1997 and a free sample copy can be obtained after registration is complete.
