Struggling to decide which fibre best suits your sensing application? Keyence now has the answer (see Plate 9). Its new Fibre Unit Quick Selection Guide contains 28 pages of free advice about all aspects of sensing solutions.

Plate 9 Keyence can now help you decide which fibre best suits your sensing application

A total of 13 different topics including detecting minute targets, positioning, colour differentiation and transparent target detection are tackled in the full-colour guide – along with how to solve traditional problems associated with each application.

For example, the liquid level detection section begins by showing the different applications particularly suited to tube-mountable and immersion-type sensors. Then, by use of simple diagrams, traditional problems such as level measurement in corrosive liquids and using float switches in dusty atmospheres are demonstrated, along with the Keyence products specifically designed to deal with them.

The guide also includes sections on sensor dimensions, a simple detecting distance chart and an explanation of Keyence's low-cost, maintenance-free amplifier system.

Free copies of the Fibre Unit Quick Selection Guide – Sensing Solutions: Designed to Solve Your Application Problems are available from Keyence.
