"The Laser Institute of America is the professional member society dedicated to fostering lasers, laser applications, and safety world-wide." The LIA offers technical information and networking opportunities to professionals from around the globe involved in laser-related activities and serves the industrial, scientific, military, and medical communities. The LIA is responsible for publishing the American National Standards Institute Z136 series of laser safety standards. These guidelines and other books provide a common-sense approach to understanding lasers and the foundation for any safety program. Training videos, warning signs, and equipment labels are also available. Conferences organised by the LIA allow laser researchers and end users to share technical information and build professional contacts. LIA members include laser manufacturers, system builders, job shops, safety professionals, health care facilities, consultants, R&D engineers, and scientists.
This is a very well laid out site with plenty of information and useful resources.
http://www.cohsci.com.au/index.htmlCoherent Scientific Pty Ltd
This is a very interesting site which contains company history, products, staff profiles, financial information, conferences, links and restaurant reviews. The Restaurant Review page is divided into states and is meant to be a light-hearted, but informative look at Australian restaurants as seen through the eyes of the general public.
The reviews are divided by state; click on the map to view.
http://www.proshotlaser.com/Laser Reference, Inc.
This Web site has a pleasantly distinctive look to it and contains product, warranty and technical information and an events page. The events page contained a rather naïve and tasteless comment which has recently been removed. The feedback obtained from questions and comments unfortunately falls short of "professional".
