New microprocessor controlled slot sensor

New microprocessor controlled slot sensor

Keywords Datalogic, Microprocessors, Sensors

Datalogic introduces a new microprocessor-based model to its range of slot sensors (see Plate 3). The SR25 has a 25mm "slot" and offers rapid response times of 80µs. As sensitivity is automatically adjusted according to the object passing through it, very precise and stable detection of all materials, particularly transparent films, is achieved.

The SR25 "Teach-In Procedure" allows exact adjustments ensuring the perfect set-up. The microprocessor controls all other functions, from light emission to output signal, as well as providing visual indication of sensor condition.

The sensors of the SR25 series are constructed in a robust metal housing, with polycarbonate labels and glass lenses affording IP65 protection.

Wide ranging applications for the new Datalogic SR25 series include automatic machines for food and tobacco packaging, transparent film detection, small object detection, bi-state edge guiding (on/off), and outline, hole and buttonhole check on thick materials.
