UKIVA announces new series of technology briefings

Keywords Publication, Vision

The UK Industrial Vision Association has just published the first in a series of briefings which will cover different aspects of new technology affecting vision.

Titled "100% digital image acquisition for vision" (Why the old TV standards are being ousted for machine vision purposes) this is a survey of, and commentary on, cameras which have direct digital outputs with no analogue stage, suitable for industrial machine vision applications. It includes information on the advantages of the 100 per cent digital approach, and also covers direct input of image data to host memory.

Planned additional titles include "Options for inspection of moving products", "Using colour information in machine vision" and "Pixel addressable and other novel cameras for machine vision".

Each of the briefings is priced at £45 which includes postage to any destination.
