A £3 million contract to manufacture and supply gas sensors for an American Air Purifier manufacturer has been awarded to Capteur Sensors of Oxfordshire.
Capteur manufacture a wide range of gas sensors for use in the design and manufacture of gas detection and emission control products. Key applications for these sensors include air purifiers, CO detection, automotive air conditioning, and other applications in residential and commercial buildings.
This contract for Capteur is its largest ever and is the latest in a stream of orders for sensors received from UK, Europe and American companies specifying detector components that utilise MMOS technology. The use of this technology is unique to Capteur and has been instrumental in the company's rapid growth since their move to a new facility at Didcot.
Commenting on their contract for the USA, Dr Graham Hine, Capteur's Chief Executive said "Our commitment to investment in research, development and manufacture of gas sensors using solid state technology is paying handsome dividends in terms of growth and employment.
