Reichhold expands coatings distribution network in the Northeast

Reichhold has announced the appointment of Callahan Co. as a non-exclusive distributor for Reichhold’s line of performance specialty polymers. These lines include Reichhold’s Epotuf® line of epoxy resins and hardeners, Arolon® high-performance solution and water-based acrylics, Urotuf® polyurethane dispersions and other selective specialty resins.

Callahan Co. is a chemical distributor in the Northeast and is ranked among the top 25 chemical distributors in the USA, offering four stocking locations from which to choose. Customers receive the benefit of a large chemical distributor with the local attention that each market requires.

According to Reichhold Sales Director North America Randy Vasseur, “We are very pleased to add Callahan Co. to the Reichhold distribution network. Their territory coverage, professionalism and strategic fit will further increase our presence and service to customers in the region.”

GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies completes acquisition of Rheonik Acquisition broadens GE’s sensing technology to include coriolis mass flowmeters for harsh environment monitoring.

Billerica, MA – February 4, 2008 – GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies, a unit of GE Enterprise Solutions (NYSE:GE), announced today that it has completed the acquisition of Rheonik, a leading manufacturer of high-accuracy coriolis mass flowmeters used in the oil and gas, process and power industries. The transaction, terms of which are not being disclosed, was completed upon receipt of required regulatory approvals.

The acquisition broadens GE’s flowmeter technology offerings for sensing customers. Additionally, Rheonik’s customers will benefit from GE’s global presence, technology depth and broad range of sensing products and services.
