Print Suppliers Group adds Bowers Ink, Primary Colors, Strategic Ink Solutions

With its impact in the printing industry growing steadily, the Print Suppliers Group (PSG) has announced the addition of three new members. Reflecting the increasing need for modest-sized ink suppliers to combine their sourcing power, the growth of PSG brings member ink suppliers to around $70 million, up 40 percent from just a year ago.
“We’re enthusiastic about the group’s expansion,” said Dennis Curtin, PSG President. “PSG has tripled in size in the last three years, a big leap since our founding seven years ago.”
Joining PSG are: Bowers Ink, Nashville, TN; Primary Colors, Greensboro, NC; and Strategic Ink Solutions, Chicago, IL.
“Our members are using our buying power to be very competitive”, said Chris Cox, PSG Executive Director. “Our focus on technical competence and superlative service offers solutions to match even the most challenging print jobs from our customers, and meet the demand for higher quality in the marketplace.”
According to Mr Curtin, members are also rolling out private labeled inks under the PSG banner that offer print efficiencies, crisp results and environmental benefits. “Our line up contains exciting, quality, ‘green’ systems.”
Among the technologies members offer to the industry are:

new generations of environmentally preferred inks, blanket and roller washes and fountain solutions; and

ink systems that allow printers to use less ink, with sharper dot results.
Current PSG members include American Printing Ink Co.; Atlas Graphic Supply Inc.; Brunner Consultants; Columbus Printing Inks; ESI Technology Advisors; Farbotech; Grand Rapids Printing Ink; Graphic Ink Company; Great Western Ink; Mallard Ink Company Inc.; Miller Cooper Company; Ohio Valley Ink & Blanket; Pertech; and Press Color, Inc.
