Biggest ever newbuilding contract signed by Jotun in China

Jotun COSCO Marine Coatings (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd, (JCMC) signed contracts for 30 NB's with Jiangsu Yangzijiang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (old yard) and Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd (new yard), both yards belonging to the Jiangsu yard group. The vessels to be built include 10£2,500teu for Seaspan Ship Management, Canada and 20£4,250teu for Reederei Rudolf Schepers, Reederei Karl Schulte, Hammonia Reederei and Reederei Thomas Schulte all from Germany and Seaspan Ship Management, Canada.

The vessels will be built at the Jiangsu yard group's two construction sites close to Jiangyin city in the Jiangsu Province, some 200km north-west of Shanghai.

The total volume of marine coatings is 6.85 million liters. This represents the biggest single contract ever signed in the history of Jotun.
