Grupo Repol announces new flame retardant PAs, halogen and phosphorous free

The new flame retardant range of PA developed by Grupo Repol, glass fibre or mineral charge reinforced and halogen and red phosphorous free, are already available in different commercial references.
Traditional reinforced flame retardant polyamides, also commercialised by Grupo Repol and widely used in the electric, electronic and building industrial sectors, are based mainly on halogen flame retardants or red phosphorous compounds.
The formulation of the new flame retardant Dinalon® PA, red phosphorous and halogen free, allows for compounds with good mechanical properties in a wide range of colours, from natural or white to intense colour tones.
Initially, the new flame retardant range of resins includes a PA6 30 per cent glass fibre reinforced V0 natural (Ref. B1X25 G30V0-0031); a PA6 30 per cent mineral charge reinforced V0 grey RAL 7035 (Ref. B1X25 M302V0-7035); and Ref. A1X25 G30V0-0031, a PA66 30 per cent glass fibre reinforced resin V0 natural. All these resins are also available with different percentages of reinforcement and in a wide variety of colours.
Besides the above mentioned advantages, the new Dinalon® flame retardant resins are environmentally friendly and compliant with the new environment regulations requested by the electric and electronic sector main manufacturers. Also, its low density in comparison to halogenated polyamides with the same amount of charge allows for a reduction of the material cost influence in the final part.
This new range of products places Grupo Repol in the forefront of the flame retardant resins market.
