Deionised water

Keywords Purite, Purification

Purite Ltd, British water technology specialists, reports that it launched its modified industrial series of water purification cylinders at the recent Surface World exhibition. Two ranges of cylinders have been upgraded, the DC and CC, containing respectively, mixed-bed ion-exchange resins and high grade activated carbon.

DC cylinders demineralise mains water where as the CC range takes out chlorine and organic contaminants. Water outputs are said to range from 10 litres/hour to 1,500 litres/hour in recirculation systems, and when combined in series with nuclear grade resin, NC cylinders produce ultra-pure water with a resistivity of up to 18 Megohm/cm at 25°C.

New cylinder head fittings are said to allow rapid cylinder change and operation at up to 70°C mains water temperature, while colour-coding enhances efficiency by making the cylinders easier to identify.
