During transfer of fluids from bulk containers to user storage facilities, a final filter fitted in the delivery line will ensure that the fluids arrive at a pre-defined level of cleanliness. HSP Filtration Bulk Loading Filters are designed specifically to serve this purpose in the chemical, process and petro-chemical industries (Plate 5).

The filter body is carbon or stainless steel and weighs approximately 4kg. Inlet and outlet ports are threaded either 11Ž2", 2" or 3" BSPF and can be fitted with standard quick release couplings for attachment to the delivery pipe or hose. No tools are required for media access which is via a cover held by three eyebolts.

Low cost filter bags cater for dirt retention from 800 microns down to one micron and a wide choice of fabrics provides compatibility with most fluids. For coarse filtration the bag may be replaced by a perforated strainer basket with 20 to 200 mesh wire cloth liner or plain perforations up to 6.3mm.
