Liquid dispenser for plastic drums

Liquid dispenser for plastic drums

New TAPPO variable flow valve from Agriemach uses gravity to dispense fluids from plastic as well as steel drums mounted on their side (see Plate 8).

Hand operated and power free, TAPPO simply fits over the drum's outlet bung which it unscrews, withdraws and retains, allowing safe and speedy controlled flow of the contents. Reversing the operation reinserts the bung which the unit tightens to reseal.

Using TAPPO means no fluid spillage or wastage, no contaminated or lost plastic bungs, no need for electric pumps or bung taps, and provides a highly cost-effective "key" to accessing a drum's contents.

According to Agriemach, developed specially for use with Trisure and similar non-metallic plastic bungs, TAPPO is the only known method of providing essential security by retaining, then refixing the bung following fluid extraction. A separate bung lock is used for high value fluids.

By rotating the entire assembly through 180°, TAPPO's large diameter discharge port becomes an inlet port for refilling or washing out drums.

Users have the option of nylon- or fibre-filled polypropylene construction to suit most liquids whether water, oil or chemical based. Viscous fluids are also suited thanks to generous bore diameter, and the unit vents gases if liquids are under pressure.

Weighing only 480g, size 120mm diameter x 240mm, makes for easy carrying.
