Zeneca Resins announces that the following new waterborne emulsions are introduced in to the market.

NeoCryl TX-200

This is an acrylic emulsion based on a new concept for decorative paints and stands for a brand-new product family from Zeneca Resins. When used as a binder in decorative paints, this product claims advantages in terms of viscosity behaviour, exhibiting traditional solvent-based alkyd paints like application properties both for DIY and the professional decorator.

Every desired viscosity and thixotropy can be attained by means of special additives, as a result of which flow and on-sagging properties can be optimised.

Other advantages of NeoCryl TX-200 claimed are: ample brushability or open time, compatibility with tinting systems, wet adhesion on undercoats, non blocking and quick recoatability.

NeoCryl XK-95

This is a new acrylic emulsion specially designed for wooden joinery window, door frames and other joinery applications.

Transparent varnishes formulated with this product can be applied as a finish with high film thickness as a single coat, which enables high production speeds. Other specific advantages and properties claimed of NeoCryl XK-95 are: early water resistance ("blushing"), early stackability, alkaline resistance, i.e. against mortar and plasters, wet adhesion on alkyd, wood impregnation and the excellent outdoor durability exhibited in its transparent appearance.

NeoPac E-140

This is a new acrylic-polyurethane dispersion for application in quick drying wood protection systems for industrial joinery coatings.

The specific advantages and properties claimed of NeoPac E-140 are: early and good water and blocking resistance at high coat thickness; resistance against alkaline conditions from mortar and lime; and good resistance against mechanical impacts, such as damage done by hailstorms.

Optimum outdoor resistance is only achieved in varnishes and clear lacquers owing to lack of elasticity in hiding systems.

NeoPac E-140 contains a so-called wet adhesion promoter, for optimum adhesion on various wood impregnation systems.

Products designed for use in waterborne industrial wood coatings

NeoCryl XK-14 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion copolymer produced without the use of emulsifying agents. When used in industrial wood coatings, NeoCryl XK-14 claims advantages in wood-wetting properties, solvent and chemical resistances, transparency and flow. During paint production, the use of this product reportedly offers advantages in terms of less foam formation and easier handling.

NeoPac E-110 and NeoPac E-115 are self-crosslinking acrylic/polyurethane copolymer dispersion designed for use in industrial wood and more specifically cabinet makers coatings. The use of these binders are believed to offer better flow, transparency and imprint resistance.

NeoPac E-110 and E-115 differentiate in polyurethane contact.
