The 25 papers in this work are mainly by authors from the USA, but there are also contributions from Australia, Canada, Italy, Switzerland and the UK. As the preface reveals, the main purpose is to afford a view of technology literacy in a learning environment. The papers are grouped into four sections: defining aspects of instructional technology skills; technology literacy in higher education; the problems technology creates for society; lastly, a series of examples and guides promoting instructional technology literacy. As illustrations, there are papers included with titles such as: “Developing graduate qualities through information systems and information technology literacy skills”; “Achieving university‐wide instructional technology literacy”; “Technology management, communication and instruction: supporting teacher development”; “Information systems education  … ”; “The role of project management in technology literacy”.
